VACUSERA ESR RACK FOR CLOSED SYSTEM

  • VACUSERA ESR Rack is made up of a plastic frame with a graduation scale indicating ESR values
  • It is suitable for the ESR tests for subjects of different gender and ages, with higher related coefficient comparing with the Westergren method
  • Delivers the 1 hour Westergren value after 30 min. reading time

Specimen Collection and Processing :

1. Gently invert ESR tubes 5-10 times immediately after blood collection to reach a proper mix of additive and blood.
2. Repeat the inversion process before placing the ESR tube into the ESR rack.
3. Insert ESR tube into rack.
4. Align the blood level to 0 position on the ESR rack.
5. After 30 minutes read the result for 1 hour Sedimentation result.

VACUSERA ESR RACK FOR OPEN SYSTEM

  • VACUSERA ESR Rack is designed to match VACUSERA ESR Tubes and Pipettes for testing the Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR)
  • ESR Rack allows ESR tubes and pipettes to stand upright position; and helps to measure the deposition of blood.

Specimen Collection and Processing:

1. Gently invert ESR tubes 5-10 times immediately after blood collection to reach a proper mix of additive and blood.
2. Open the cap.
3. Insert the ESR pipette from the tube and blood will automatically rise till the “0” level.
4. Place the ESR tube and pipette into the rack in the vertical position.
5. After 30 minutes, 60 minutes and 120 minutes read the values from the graduated pipette.
6. After reading the results discard the ESR tube and ESR pipette without separating.
